Coxwain typical orders[edit]

Coxwains use a set list of commands to efficiently direct the crew, referring to the crew by their seating position and using commands such as 'turning to heads' to provide clear instruction. I propose an article on rowing command systems. Racooon (talk) 20:06, 11 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Cox box alarm?[edit]

In the section Coxswain (rowing)#Cox box, it says the device includes an "Alarm clock - so you know if you are late for your race." Is that an attempt at humor? The main article for Cox box doesn't include anything about an alarm and the web pages for at least two different cox boxes don't mention that they include alarms. I don't know anything about rowing though so I don't want to assume somebody put in a joke. Thanks. SchreiberBike (talk) 22:36, 29 July 2012 (UTC)[reply]
