Taxonomy[edit]

The part of the biology section dealing with cricket classification may need updating; I’m not qualified to judge, but see e.g. the stub on Ensifera. Odysseus1479 (talk) 01:14, 2 October 2010 (UTC)[reply]

  • Oh yes, the fun of using 19th century sources:). I removed the "three subfamilies of Gryllidae" sentence altogether. Indeed, mole cricket don't belong here. In fact, I only recently realized what an (English language) mole cricket really is - in my home culture it's associated with earthworms rather than crickets and grasshoppers.
