1982 World Cup[edit]

  • As far as I know, Kipiani broke his leg shortly before the 1982 WC. Maybe you could check it. Any reference to his death? -robertjohnsonrj 20:37, 31 August 2006 (UTC))[reply]

I remember that Dynamo Tbilisi were ahead in Madrid against Real, which was unacceptable, so the galacticos broke his leg beyond recovery. Wlodek Splawski 25 April 2008. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 157.25.31.16 (talk) 13:04, 25 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]

As far as I remember it was Buryak who broke his leg shortly before the start of WC82. Kipiani's injury had happened earlier and he was supposedly ready to play but was not invited. --Vs1969 (talk) 09:31, 11 December 2008 (UTC)[reply]
