post-punk[edit]

In the first paragraph, it says Dawes abandoned a post-punk sound. Dawes were never post-punk, and there's no citation for that, so it should be removed as it's factually inaccurate.

HUB Records[edit]

Since Dawes's new record is being released on HUB Records, the record label should read HUB Records for US, and RED General Catalog for Canada, not ATO Records or Loose Music. HUB is listed as the record label on this Best Buy link: http://www.bestbuy.com/site/Stories+Don'T+End+-+CD/8579099.p;jsessionid=DFC2C9FF1C07DF6E7C4295DC32F080A0.bbolsp-app02-113?id=2656686&skuId=8579099&st=dawes&lp=1&cp=1

passage removed[edit]

why was this passage removed from the article? It's all true...

Currently Dawes is serving as the in-house band in the main office of the popular culture website The AV Club. As per their agreement, Dawes will live in the Undercover Studio, the only place on Earth capable of properly harnessing their smooth, Laurel Canyon sound, in exchange for gracing the staff with their divine presence and a pack of smokes to split amongst the office. Their forthcoming studio album, named only in a language known by Dawes and beyond the comprehension of any mere mortal, is set for release December 21, 2012, and is expected to destroy sales records and bring peace the moment before destroying the whole world.[citation needed] Band members have spoken briefly about plans for a modest 15 city tour shortly after its release.

all true -- — Preceding unsigned comment added by 216.8.180.86 (talk) 18:15, 19 October 2011 (UTC)[reply]

It's because it says "smooth" instead of "sweet" Laurel Canyon sound, of course. --Spiff666 (talk) 19:11, 14 February 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Laurel Canyon "sound"[edit]

Really. What is this sound? I see and hear it being tossed around without any explanation as to what this sound is actually like. Would someone please edit in a definition? Spiff666 (talk) 14:05, 11 October 2011 (UTC)[reply]

No takers? Figures. --Spiff666 (talk) 19:11, 14 February 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Since you don't permit to edit the article, then will you please put the closing bracket after the work "keyboards"? Thank you.

Yeah, being Bob Dylan's sole opener isn't a small thing[edit]

Feel free to delete this if you want or there's something I don't get, but, I agree with JRHandy, you guys gotta put something out there about them being Bob Dylan's opening act right now. That's kind of a big deal, The Wallflowers never did that, lol. Anyhow, It is the truth and it would probably help them and Bob much. I just saw them at the Peabody Opera House in St. Louis Mo last night 04-23-2013 and thought they were awesome! — Preceding unsigned comment added by 97.88.214.89 (talk) 00:49, 25 April 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Please change "Labels ATO Records (North America)

 Loose Music (Europe)"

to "Labels HUB Records (North America) Mercury Records (UK)" Because they have changed labels when they changed from Red Light Management to Q Prime Management. I work at Q Prime. Semi-protected edit request on 10 March 2014[edit]

Please add the year (2012) to the date in the following sentence: "The band also appeared as themselves on the February 7 episode of the NBC television series Parenthood." And, FWIW, the link to the page cited, now points to a differently named later article from pastemagazine.com. Plentone (talk) 15:01, 10 March 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Done I fixed the link as well. Jackmcbarn (talk) 17:09, 10 March 2014 (UTC)[reply]
