In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.

Alternate British title[edit]

I have started this discussion in case my addition of the alternate shorter title (just "Dennis") is challenged.

Although the alternate title is no longer officially used in the United Kingdom, I feel it should still be included, considering it is still in living memory, to let potential readers know they have found what they are looking for. In looking for other examples, I can think of at least three other American films to have had different titles in the UK at least in the past, Romance on the High Seas, Miracle on 34th Street (the original 1947 film) and Blank Check (alternately titled as It's Magic, The Big Heart and Blank Cheque respectively upon their original UK releases). In all three cases, the alternate titles are provided in brackets in the first instance in their Wikipedia articles.

In case the relevance of the alternate title is questioned if the title "Dennis the Menace" is no longer used for the Beano character Dennis the Menace and Gnasher (actually officially Dennis and Gnasher nowadays) it is worth remembering that, according to WP:COMMONNAME Wikipedia does not necessarily use the subject's "official" name as an article title; it generally prefers the name that is most commonly used (as determined by its prevalence in a significant majority of independent, reliable English-language sources). Although the British Dennis' title is no longer officially used (at least not without an additional suffix) generations of Britons still know the Beano character as "Dennis the Menace", still providing the likelihood of confusion between the two characters, and are more likely to know the 1993 American film as Dennis if they remember it as such.
