Needs lots of work[edit]

This article needs lots of work. First, Dominick & Dominick needs to be separated correctly from Dominick & Dickerman. It seems that Dom & Dom sold its wealth management business to Wunderlich. Following the sale, Dom & Dom changed its name to Dom & Dick (using abbreviations for the sake of convenience). Dom & Dom is still operates using that name under the Wunderlich umbrella. Dom & Dick advertises itself as being founded in 1870, so I assume even though they sold a part of their company (including their name "Dom & Dom"), they got to keep the history, including the founding date. Having said all of this, it seems somewhat misleading to keep referring to Dom & Dom throughout the article, since there is now another Dom & Dom operating at Wunderlich. In addition, virtually the entire article was poached from the Dom & Dick website. Of course, facts are facts, but there's also a lot of fluff and marketing embedded in it. Left the 'advert' tag after copyedit[edit]

I almost removed the {{advert|date=September 2013}} today, after a cleanup of the most obvious filler and advertising about the individual executives (Diff#1). I also checked the page from September 2013, when the tag was added (Diff2). Since then not much has changed, just the removal of a notable people list and some new references (Diff3), so I didn't target old content in particular, just everything that read unencyclopedically. However, it still needs a deeper clean for the tag to come down. 24.184.68.237 (talk) 20:13, 26 December 2023 (UTC)[reply]
