Senate[edit]

[1], a AP article, says, "The last appointed person to be refused a seat came from Alabama in 1913, when the Senate concluded the state Legislature had not given the governor the power to fill a vacancy, said Senate associate historian Don Ritchie." Does anyone have more information about that? It would seem that O'Neal was governor then. Superm401 - Talk 15:37, 10 December 2008 (UTC)[reply]
