FoodCorps updates[edit]

This edit request by an editor with a conflict of interest has now been answered.

What I think should be changed (include citations):

In the Function section, the amounts of the service stipend and Segal Award are incorrect. Source/correct amounts are listed here: https://foodcorps.org/apply/benefits/

The description of Host Sites, number of Service Sites, and subsequent list of sites are all outdated. Source: https://foodcorps.org/about/sites/

In the Philosophy section, the description of pillars is outdated. Source/updated information: https://foodcorps.org/what-we-do-food-education/

In the "see also" section, the link to Childhood Obesity should be removed, as FoodCorps no longer focuses on obesity. Source: https://foodcorps.org/what-does-healthy-mean-our-2020-vision-for-healthy-food/

Why it should be changed:

This information is based on 10-year-old news articles from when FoodCorps was very newly founded, and is therefore deeply outdated. The information on this page conflicts with the information on FoodCorps' website and is therefore very confusing to stakeholders. It would be greatly appreciated if an editor could revise the page to include the most accurate and recent information! Thank you!

Hi Cberedjick, it definitely makes sense to update this information, however it is Wikipedia best practices to source information with independant, third-party sources. This information hasn't been discussed in any third-party sources, so unfortunately the FoodCorps website is the only definitive source for this information. Looked into this a bit more and since there are no other sources and these are all pretty basic, subjective updates, I think we can make an exception and go ahead with these sources.
