Photographs showing McKenzie[edit]

  • opposite page 152 in Pussyfoot Johnson: Crusader, Reformer, a Man Among Men published 1920 by Fleming H. Revell (UK and USA), marked copyright "Underwood & Underwood", probably Underwood & Underwood
  • [1] linked from [2], supposedly a photo from the Chicago Historical Society, found in Korea's Fight For Freedom (1969 Yonsei University Press edition)

First one is here; that is {{PD-1923}}. 1920 American edition, photo not in the UK edition of the book (at least the one on archive.org), and credited to an American company. Can't find anything on the second one. Where did you see the Chicago Historical Society credit? Carl Lindberg (talk) 04:36, 15 November 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Foreign correspondents in Korea during the Russo-Japanese War - Part 2 has "matt" writing "the 1969 Yonsei University Press edition of Korea's Fight For Freedom has a photo of McKenzie provided by the 'Chicago Historical Society.'" It is only my guess that matt meant this photo as that is the only McKenzie one on the blog. -84user (talk) 14:45, 15 November 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Ah OK, missed that comment, thanks. Seems unlikely that it was a U.S. photograph to begin with, so that is probably not enough provenance to make a judgement. The Chicago Historical Society does own the old archives of the Chicago Daily News, some of which are on loc.gov, but couldn't find anything like this with a brief search (not surprising because they only have photos actually taken by the Daily News, i.e. ones with negatives). McKenzie or MacKenzie[edit]

In several sources I have seen written the name as MacKenzie. In the book, The Russian Crucifixion, the name appears as MacKenzie. I think that's the spelling. I've been used McKenzie to fit with the spelling in Wikipedia, but I will change it to MacKenzie. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Editive (talkcontribs) 19:11, 29 August 2020 (UTC) Editive (talk) 19:16, 29 August 2020 (UTC)[reply]
