Please check Blumentritt was Chief of Operation of the entire Army in 1942? In fact, Alfred Jodl held this post during the period of 1939-1945.

Corrected: Blumentritt was chief of the Operations Department of the German High Command in 1942, not Chief of Operations.

I have had a look at the article and have the following suggestions:

the last part of the Early life section needs a citation;
there are a number of external links embeddd in the text, these could probably be converted into inline citations removed
the awards section should be cited also; corrected
Citations # 17 and # 25 just say "Ibid". While this is acceptable in most academic circles, on Wikipedia it is not a good idea because if someone comes along and adds a citation in between the Ibid and the one before it, then it will create the impression that the Ibid relates to the wrong citation. I suggest simply just using a namedref per WP:NAMEDREFS; done
the References section should be sorted alphabetically by author's surname; done
the References section is very long, have they all been cited specifically in the text? If not, the sources that have not been cited specifically should probably be moved to a Further reading section; corrected
Citation # 29 needs more information as all it says is "Reuters"; corrected
page ranges in citations should have an endash per WP:DASH; corrected?
there is inconsistency in terminology (you sometimes use World War II, and at other times use Second World War); corrected
per Wikipedia:MOSCAPS#Military terms ranks should only be capitalised when used as a proper noun, i.e as part of a title (as in Oberleutnant Günther Blumentritt) but where they are used as an improper noun they should not (as in Blumentritt was a oberleutnant). An example where ranks have been capitalised incorrectly is in the Early life section); corrected
In the Early life section, the date format is inconsistent per Wikipedia:Manual of Style (dates and numbers)#Dates ("February 20th 1919" should be "February 20, 1919", same with "August of 1918" and "April 1st 1926" and "September 2nd 1939" (in World War II section)). corrected
