I Made Changes to Respond to Advert Label[edit]

I added information on other similar conferences, changed some words that sounded like compliments, and added references for the data.

The conference is over after this weekend, so the article is of no value for advertising because it will be done.

If there are other suggestions you have for how to make this better please post them. I am trying to make this article a parallel to E for All, Games Convention and Tokyo Game Show. As a group they are the four largest such exhibitions in the games industry.

London used to have a large show too but has had administrative problems in recent years. Thank you. GCA-Info (talk) 05:55, 19 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]

It does seem less promotional now. To further improve the article, if you can find sources that cover the convention that are not directly related to it (or to other conventions), they will help the article tremendously. Examples would be articles in trade magazines that cover the convention, newspaper articles about it, and so on. Things like blogs generally should be avoided though. Thanks -- I will make this my next step. GCA-Info (talk) 12:27, 21 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]
I see that another editor has already left you a note about the WP:COI issues you have on this article. Please read that carefully -- wikipedia strongly discourages you from making such edits.--Fabrictramp | talk to me 17:17, 21 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]

I've changed a lot of stuff in this article over the last week. So it no longer reads like a sales brochure (I hope) and has links to less COI type of sources. i.e. sources other than the official website. It also has a lot more information than the original article and the referencing for the information presented is a lot more rigorous. Does the Conflict of Interest label still apply? Improving the article's quality[edit]

I've been working in more reliable links to substantiate the information in this article (as opposed to all the information being obtained from the company website.) Any help/suggestions on improving the quality of the article overall much appreciated. S7r4t4 (talk) 03:40, 30 July 2009 (UTC)[reply]
