[edit]In 2006 the Ginetta Cars company was sold to the LNT Group. However a new company called Ginetta Racing Ltd was formed. Since 1990 the company has had a checquered company history listed at Company House.
We now have several companies owned by different people building Ginettas!
DARE UK build the Ginetta G4 and the Ginetta G12
GKD build the EVOLUTION (based on the G27)
Ginetta Cars build the G20
Ginetta Racing build some of the G20 race cars
ALMS
[edit]What car is being labelled as a Ginetta in American Le Mans Series racing? --Falcadore (talk) 08:24, 20 October 2008 (UTC)
- The LMP1 Zytek as Ginetta chairman Lawrence Tomlinson bought into an equal share of Zytek, with their founder Bill Gibson. Mentioned here. Cs-wolves (talk) 13:10, 20 October 2008 (UTC)
- So it's actually a Reynard. Should be in this article somewhere as some ALMS races link here. --Falcadore (talk) 20:58, 20 October 2008 (UTC)
Ginetta G6
[edit]Need references/description of Ginetta G6-D.K.W. --Rupertlt (talk) 13:20, 24 April 2011 (UTC)
Ginetta G8
[edit]This is the designation of the F3 car from 1964 (see article)? --Rupertlt (talk) 14:32, 24 April 2011 (UTC)
Opening copy-pasted from Ginetta's website
[edit]The whole opening to the article is copied from Ginetta's about page, which while from the source certainly paints them in a favorable light. I'm new to editing Wikipedia but this doesn't seem to be the spirit of it, if I find some sources should this rewritten? CRK0116 (talk) 05:39, 15 January 2019 (UTC)
You are quite correct and it is the second time it has happened. I have reverted it.Malcolma (talk) 08:58, 15 January 2019 (UTC)
G26 picture is a G28
[edit]I owned a G26, and it had pop-up lights. I think the picture shown is a G28 KeithC (talk) 13:44, 18 April 2019 (UTC)
G26, G27, G28, G30 and G31
[edit]When I bought my G26 in around 1986, Ginetta was still owned by the Walklett brothers and still based in Witham. They moved to Scunthorpe in around 1989, I believe. KeithC (talk) 14:13, 18 April 2019 (UTC)
