Untitled[edit]

I think this page should be renamed to Golden Globe Award for Best Supporting Actor in a Series, Mini-Series or Made-For-Tv movie. Any objections.

Inaccuracies[edit]

This list disagrees with the official website repeatedly. I've only looked at 1981 and 82 so far, and both give wrong winners and other errors compared to the official Golden Globe website. What are the sources for this list? Is the 'hfpa.org' website wrong? Ensuring correct information is vital to a list page. Alfrew (talk) 00:58, 19 March 2015 (UTC)[reply]

I've also tagged this article for contradicting the list of award nominations in the article for Magnum, P.I., because it was from that article that I came here. Alfrew (talk) 22:57, 24 March 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Ensure that you're looking at the correct year for the hpfa.org article you cite. For John Hillerman:
For Tom Selleck:
Hope this helps. I'll leave it to you to update the articles as required, as I don't particularly care for this subject. Mindmatrix 23:22, 24 March 2015 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks for your reply. I've had a quick look again at the Golden Globes website, and I see the list of nominees in the 1985 awards matches the list given here for 1984. It appears that the article is using the broadcast year rather than the award year (the awards are made early in the calendar year, for productions of the previous calendar year). I'm not sure if there is a Wikipedia standard for this sort of list, but surely it ought to make clear what its policy is for attributing awards to calendar years. Perhaps the date of the corresponding ceremony could be given for each year's list. Alfrew (talk) 03:10, 25 March 2015 (UTC)[reply]
