References[edit]

Some of the references are really against the party, not giving a clear picture of the party, but rather an opinion-based opposition. LightningLighting (talk) 13:38, 28 May 2019 (UTC)[reply]

“Ultranationalism”[edit]

I won’t pretend to know a ton about Greek solution, they’re a new party that only recently entered parliament. I oppose deeming them “ultranationalist” because our current sourcing for doing so consists of a quote from a guardian article (on top of this, the guardian is a source known to many to be anti right and pro left in its reporting, making use of it in cases like this a poor idea). If better and more sources can be found that say the same thing, the piece can stay, if not, we should remove it or hold an RfC. (Another thing to keep in mind would be that Greek solution only entered parliament a few months ago, and I don’t think we should be too quick to try and throw labels like this on such a new party). Infobox[edit]

I think we should simplify the ideologies and move the rest to the Ideology and policies section Braganza (talk) 13:07, 7 April 2023 (UTC)[reply]

I agree. I think it should be the following:
  • Ultranationalism
  • Pro-Russian sentiment
  • Right-wing populism

ValenciaThunderbolt (talk) 11:19, 27 May 2023 (UTC)[reply]

National conservatism alone is my preference; national conservatism and right-wing populism would also be acceptable.— Autospark (talk) 12:58, 27 May 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Yeah, I'll go with the latter that instead :) ValenciaThunderbolt (talk) 13:00, 27 May 2023 (UTC)[reply]
I totaly agree with User:Autospark. The party is also Christian-conservative, but religious right would be too American. --Checco (talk) 08:34, 29 May 2023 (UTC)[reply]
I agree with ValenciaThunderbolt's original post in so far as I think ultranationalism should also be included in the infobox. Helper201 (talk) 23:35, 29 May 2023 (UTC)[reply]
I’d rather ultranationalism be kept in the article body (or more accurately article body and lede, as per current edits), to both to keep the Infobox free of bloat and because it’s arguable whether ultranationalism is a distinct political ideology rather than a socio-cultural viewpoint.— Autospark (talk) 10:54, 30 May 2023 (UTC)[reply]
3 ideologies is far from bloat. Ultranationalism is an extreme form of nationalism, which is specifically stated on its page to an be an ideology (see the top of the page where it states "This article is about the ideology. For other uses, see Nationalist (disambiguation)" and the Terminology section, which states, "According to Lisa Weeden, nationalist ideology presumes that "the people" and the state are congruent".
Ultranationalism is also listed on the page, List of political ideologies. Helper201 (talk) 19:45, 30 May 2023 (UTC)[reply]
