Comments on draft[edit]

Hi @Willierios21: I'm providing support for your class at UMD and I have a few comments on your draft:

Normally the first section of a wikipedia article (called the "lead") does not have a heading (see Janise Yntema for an example).
I'm seeing some variations on the last name spelling. Some sources use "Pinchas-Cohen", others "Pinhas-Cohen". Do you know which is correct (or more common, if both are correct)?

There are some brief mentions of her in ISBN 0791477142 (p. 267) and here: doi:10.1353/sho.0.0358. Also you link to a translation of a profile (the original is in dutch here), while we should generally "cite it where you found it" in this case I think adding the original site and marking her page as a translation (e.g. reference it directly: van den Bovenkamp, Jasper; van Velze, Jan (25 March 2009). ""Poëzie is als zwangerschap"". Reformed Daily.) and move the translation to the "external links".
There also appear to be a number of references available in Hebrew. One thing to keep in mind is that non-English sources are allowed and we should use them just as we would a source that appears in english, so if you know someone who speaks Hebrew feel free to dig into those and use them (but try not to rely on machine translation for stuff).
I'd take a look at the structure your professor put up User:Apdame/sandbox for some indication on what to name sections. If you'd prefer to look at an existing article which looks roughly like the work your class is doing see Janise Yntema. You may not have as many sections if there is less information about her, but I think if you integrate the sources you've got you should be able to fill out that structure pretty easily. I think this will help you in writing more about her, as you can break out her works and her activities into different sections rather than trying to integrate the two.
Regarding "Her experiences, the state of Israel, Judaism, eroticism, and the Tenach are remarkably woven together in the tapestry of her work", whenever we directly quote someone on wikipedia, we should have an inline citation to the source of that quote so that interested readers may investigate it for themselves.

Here are a couple of article format / editing items:

The first letter of a sentence should be capitalized.
Content within the article should have inline citations. I added one citation - formated using a template - for two sentences as an example. This first use of the citation has the full citation information, with a ref name="Writers Festival". Each subsequent use of the source can have the <ref name="Writers Festival" /> tag.
These two sentences are a direct copy of the source and should be paraphrased to avoid copyright violations.--CaroleHenson (talk) 17:10, 7 November 2014 (UTC)[reply]
