The result was: promoted by Rjjiii talk 09:16, 13 January 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Five times expanded by Jo-Jo Eumerus (talk). Self-nominated at 15:59, 15 November 2023 (UTC). Post-promotion hook changes for this nom will be logged at Template talk:Did you know nominations/Huequi; consider watching this nomination, if it is successful, until the hook appears on the Main Page.[reply]

  • Frankly, I'm not sure if the hook as currently written would be interesting, or at least understandable, to a non-specialist audience unless there were pictures of the actual pinnacles in question. Narutolovehinata5 (talk · contributions) 02:13, 18 November 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Unfortunately, there is no free image of the geysers. Also, I think that most people understand what a "pinnacle" is. Maybe "columns" is clearer? Jo-Jo Eumerus (talk) 08:53, 18 November 2023 (UTC)[reply]
That might be better, but without images, I'm afraid the hook doesn't really stand out, since it might be hard for readers to imagine what they look like. Narutolovehinata5 (talk · contributions) 10:23, 18 November 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Proposed an ALT that should give sufficient information for people's imagination. Jo-Jo Eumerus (talk) 11:23, 18 November 2023 (UTC)[reply]
  • Due to various real-life matters I don't think I have any time to complete the review anymore, although I am still skeptical about the broad interest of ALT0 and ALT1. Narutolovehinata5 (talk · contributions) 05:23, 12 December 2023 (UTC)[reply]

ALT1 interesting for me. Checked expanded OK. Checked Earwig no copyvio. I will complete this review - hopefully very soon - feel free to chase. Are you looking for an article to review? If so are you allowed to complete my Template:Did you know nominations/Hoang Thi Minh Hong? Chidgk1 (talk) 14:23, 12 December 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Added a QPQ. Jo-Jo Eumerus (talk) 15:01, 12 December 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Checked cite OK. Good to go with ALT1

Can inanimate rock really be said to "grow" Jo-Jo Eumerus? ~~ AirshipJungleman29 (talk) 17:18, 10 January 2024 (UTC)[reply]
AirshipJungleman29 Good question. But as it is not in the article itself, as the reviewer I am happy with "grow" here in the hook as I believe hooks can be less "encyclopedic" and more expressive than articles. Chidgk1 (talk) 18:15, 10 January 2024 (UTC)[reply]
But I have no objection if both of you agree a different verb Chidgk1 (talk) 18:18, 10 January 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Yes, rocks can grow, c.f speleothems grow through the precipitation of limestone. Jo-Jo Eumerus (talk) 07:59, 11 January 2024 (UTC)[reply]
