Tuning[edit]

Is there a "standard tuning" for these things? Is the extra string an addition to the usual guitar setup? If so, is it higher or lower? I suppose it doesn't much matter, as with a dual titanium truss rod you could probably go either way. Still I suppose Vai wanted it a certain way, so how does he tune it? And do most owners of these things follow that example, or are many unconventional tunings more prevalent? I'm not asking out of sheer curiosity, I think this information is missing in the article. --BjKa (talk) 13:56, 27 June 2013 (UTC)[reply]
