This is an encyclopedia, not a newspaper ad.[edit]

Just cleaned up the article and removed or reworded what appeared to be a lot of advertising phrased as fact--or rather, "almost fact" because it discussed what the school could be if so and so went through rather than what it actually is. When your application goes through, change the Wiki page. It's unnecessary to tell us the school is in the process or maybe potentially still-applying-and-not-sure-yet making a change.

Additionally, "ISB is unique in that it offers the much more advanced and rigorous IB program"? What is the implication here? IB is more rigorous than AP? This IB is more rigorous than other IB programs? IB is more rigorous than homeschooling? There are almost 2,400 schools with the IB program--how does this make ISB unique?

And it's embarrassing to see so many grammatical mistakes on a page about a school--I hope the people affiliated with this page aren't also teaching English there? I see the Beaverton School District hasn't changed much in the last few years.

Cleaned it up a lot more[edit]

Yeah, it hadn't been updated in forever, and was mostly written by sixth graders, who see no importance in grammatical correctness. I cleaned it up, clarifying that ISB is the only school in the District to offer MYP and IB courses, that Student Council no longer exists, and has been replaced by student Parliament, I clarified the Jazz Band section, and wrote sections on the other extracurriculars that I knew about.

The school did get accepted to IB, and I made changes to the article as a result.

Infobox Issues[edit]

I am a relatively new Wikipedia contributor, and am unfamiliar with how to create an infobox. When I attempted to edit the infobox (as it had, what I considered, false information), the formatting got messed up, and the background text was accidentally displayed directly on the article. Removing the coordinates was also a mistake, and was unaware of the "red" or "black" overlinking rule. I would like help in including a picture of the school in the infobox as well; the link is http://www.beaverton.k12.or.us/isb/ and the picture that I think should be included is right on the home page. Thanks for all the help with this article, and I hope to learn more by contributing to it.
