Seventeenth mainline installment?[edit]

Currently, the article states that Kirby and the Forgotten Land is the seventeenth mainline installment. When counting the remakes such as Nightmare in Dream Land and Super Star Ultra, and even Kirby's Dream Collection (which is notably highlighted as a major entry in the franchise timeline in the main series article), that only adds up to sixteen entries. What games in the Kirby franchise are being counted as "mainline installments?" 100.2.137.190 (talk) 07:35, 22 April 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Is K.a.t.F.L really meant to celebrate the 30th anniversary of Kirby?[edit]

As far as I know, there is no official confirmation that Kirby & the Forgotten Land was meant to be developed & released in celebration of the Kirby series' 30th Anniversary.

Can anyone please clarify or provide any sources confirming that? Trekker-J1 (talk) 20:23, 13 June 2022 (UTC)[reply]

@Trekker-J1 It should be removed. It's a gross misrepresentation of the source in use, which is actually about a wallpaper. No where on Nintendo's own site (or even in that Nintendo Life article) is it stated that Forgotten Land was part of any anniversary effort. -- ferret (talk) 20:26, 13 June 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Same goes for the Booster Course Pass in Mario Kart 8 Deluxe.

We've no official confirmation that it's meant to celebrate the Mario Kart series' own 30th Anniversary.

And without additional characters, vehicles, weels, gliders, power-ups, & other content added into Mario Kart 8 Deluxe as well, it STILL isn't. Trekker-J1 (talk) 20:26, 13 June 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Reference idea[edit]

I imagine this meaty interview from The Washington Post will be useful, especially in the development section. I'll add some info from it later. Glades12 (talk) 14:44, 17 August 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Never mind. It was already cited, just with the standard bot-supplied "Archived copy" that made identification difficult. Glades12 (talk) 18:26, 17 August 2022 (UTC)[reply]
