"An oil pipeline in Alaska"[edit]

Clicking on this article more or less at random, I find the following text:

He moved to Alaska to work for his father on an oil pipeline for one summer...

Any chance that this unnamed pipeline is the Trans-Alaska Pipeline System, or that this work had anything to do with the construction of said pipeline? If being vague is simply a matter of being reflective of vague sources, I can understand, but considering that this event practically dominated life in Alaska throughout most of the 1970s, it shouldn't be that hard to pinpoint. I mean, we know that Mel McDaniel spent roughly two years playing at the King's X bar in Anchorage during this same period, so details could quite possibly be available here, too.
