Triple Pupin[edit]

This article lists one Michael Pupin, one Michael I. Pupin, and one Mihajlo Idvorski Pupin. These are all the same person, the article is found at Mihajlo Pupin. People omitted from politics[edit]

"Notable alumni of Columbia Law School (Government, Legal academia), Columbia College of Columbia University (Political and diplomatic figures, Legal and judicial figures, Military leaders), School of International and Public Affairs. This partial list does not include all of the numerous Columbia alumni who have served as the heads of foreign governments, in the U.S. Presidential Cabinet, the U.S. Executive branch of government, the Federal Courts, or as U.S. Senators, U.S. Congresspersons, Governors, diplomats, mayors (or other notable local officials), or as prominent members of the legal profession or the military." 1
Is there a reason these are omitted? Yes, the list would become so much unwieldingly longer, but I think it's pretty important to list, say, Presidents such as the current President of the United States Barrack Obama (CC 1983), FDR, TR (Perhaps Eisenhower as he was the President of the University?), as well as foreign heads of state. I think it's funny that those three POTUSes are listed as candidates and/or senators but not their highest office. Valley2city^‽ 01:13, 18 December 2012 (UTC)[reply]

People Omitted from Fine Arts[edit]

ROBERT MOTHERWELL -- "At Harvard, Motherwell studied under Arthur Oncken Lovejoy and David Wite Prall; to research the writings of Eugène Delacroix he spent a year in Paris, where he met an American composer Arthur Berger. In fact, it was Berger who advised Motherwell to continue his education at Columbia University, under Meyer Shapiro.[4]....In 1940, Motherwell moved to New York to study at Columbia University, where he was encouraged by Meyer Schapiro to devote himself to painting rather than scholarship. Shapiro introduced the young artist to a group of exiled Parisian Surrealists (Max Ernst, Duchamp, Masson) and arranged for Motherwell to study with Kurt Seligmann. The time that Motherwell spent with the Surrealists proved to be influential to his artistic process. What's the difference with "List of Columbia University alumni and attendees"[edit]

List of Columbia University alumni and attendees would seem to cover almost the same ground. Both are > 120,761 bytes with List of Columbia University alumni larger at 125,013 bytes, both with their specialities such as sections etc... Perhaps they should be merged?
