UPA flag[edit]

UPA isn't a country, why is its banner listed in the same section as the flags of the UPR or the UkSSR? --Tavrian 03:38, 28 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Does it have to be? It's just a flag of Ukraine (history). I think any relevant historical flags can be placed in that section. —dima/talk/ 04:34, 28 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]

My interpretation of "flags of Ukraine" is the same as Dimas. Is this article only limited to political entities? If it is, then some of the others should be removed also. Ostap 05:16, 28 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Of course it is, with the way to page is set up now at least. The UPA banner (and probably along with the Tatar one) clearly doesn't fit in that category of other national or regional flags. If you want to include it we'd have to create a new separate section, called someting like Historical military flags or like in the commons Flags of organizations in Ukraine[1]. While the current section should be defined as "Historical flags of what can be called Ukraine" not "Flags historical related to Ukraine". --Tavrian 04:39, 30 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]
And also, what others did you have in mind for removal? --Tavrian 04:41, 30 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]
Naval flag of the Ukrainian People's Republic, Flag of Galicia, Flag of Bukovyna, Historical flag of Crimean Tatars. Ostap 20:00, 30 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]
Alright, so how about creating a "Historical military flags" section? --Tavrian 15:40, 7 February 2009 (UTC)[reply]
Ok. Ostap 18:27, 7 February 2009 (UTC)[reply]
