Disputed[edit]

This is not a list of algorithms. This is a haphazard list of model types and theoretical concepts with a few algorithms in between. E.g. "Naive Bayes classifier" is not an algorithm; its various learning and prediction algorithms are.

A true list of machine learning algorithms would be mostly a list of optimization algorithms, e.g. L-BFGS, SGD, SMO, etc. QVVERTYVS (hm?) 11:00, 12 February 2014 (UTC)[reply]

I agree, I feel that we still need a list of model types and theoretical concepts. We could break this article up in an effort to purify it. What could that new article/list be called? Gabefair (talk) 13:08, 19 March 2016 (UTC)[reply]
