After Latouche's arrest, he was "destitued" on 3 October 1793. That's not a word and I'm not sure what this should say. I think that "destitued" is "cashiered".
The three millions would be in Livres, considering the era, but since it's never stated explicitly, I'm a bit shy of bluntly stating it. Would it be all right in a footnote, maybe?
I have not yet found an explicit reference to the disease in question; possibly the yellow fever, but I am speculating there. I'll try to see if I manage to find something.

"Cashiered" is a good word choice. As for the gold, if its value is not explicitly stated anywhere, perhaps it should be described simply as "a large sum of gold"? As for the disease: it might be good to point out that it's unknown, so that the curious won't think they've accidentally missed something. SteveStrummer (talk) 00:19, 7 May 2013 (UTC)[reply]
Good point on the gold; I'll put the "three millions" in a footnote (three millions is worth something like six ships of the line for this period).
On the disease, the problem I have is that sobody says that we don't know what he died from either; they are all just being vague. Maybe this is also footnote-grade material.
