The correct translation is not Martyr memorial, as Shahid is singular in Arabic?Farhikht (talk) 01:54, 10 March 2012 (UTC)[reply]

turret's distance from the ground?[edit]

There reads: Above the three supporting fins, at 14 metres (47 ft) from the ground, is an Islamic style turret with a diameter of 10 metres (33 ft) and a height of 7.6 metres (25 ft), topped by a dome of 6 metres (20 ft)
A source would be good, as looking the picture tells other than the text. The only thing above the fins is the part which seems to be communications tower (on the top of dome, I guess). Should that mean 14 metres from the place where the fins join? That would seem to be somewhat correct.
