non good faith and major edits[edit]

User ‎Kashmiri has been continuously doing major edits which even after restoration to previous versions by the mods are deleted again by him. This is especially for a reference to a controversy regarding Mr Luqman and the outlawed sect known as Qadyanis. I really dont care whether user ‎Kashmiri has sympathies for Qadyanis or not but why does he continuously remove an important part of this article (referenced as well) for his own beliefs. Can you please keep religion out of it. Also I am going to report this to the mods. This is not about religion or the lack of it. Keep the facts as they are. Thanks. Dr Pukhtunyar Afghan (talk) 18:03, 7 July 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Read WP:NPOV and WP:NOTADVOCACY. Ahmadiyyas are not outlawed in Pakistan or anywhere else, and a biography of a talk show host is not the right place to push your (unfounded) beliefs related to that faith or group. I am sure my edits have brought significant improvement the the article, but if you feel otherwise please go ahead with a WP:DISPUTE. All the time please steer clear of personal attacks on me or any religion as they won't be tolerated. kashmiri TALK 19:35, 7 July 2013 (UTC)[reply]
I have the Mubasshir Luqman page on my watchlist and you have been continuously removing major chunks of this article. At first I accepted your premise of improving the page but then I noticed you persistently keep deleting an important section. A search of Mr Luqman on the internet shows that this particular incident was an important part of his early journalistic career and as an important event in his professional career cannot be left out of this article. In your reply you have also shown inadvertently that you might belong to this same sect. After doing a search on the net about Qadyanis and the religious tensions associated with them I have come to realize you might be compromised because of your personal religious beliefs as you have personally said so. Therefore I do not trust that you are neutral in this matter and I also believe that you are deliberately removing facts and important sections from this article because of your personal religious beliefs. Please respond to the mod here: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/User_talk:Materialscientist#Continuous_non_good_faith_edits.2C_possibly_motivated_by_religious_sympathies Dr Pukhtunyar Afghan (talk) 05:06, 8 July 2013 (UTC)[reply]
Hi,
  1. Please refrain from second-guessing my religion or personal beliefs – please read WP:PERSONAL.
  2. If you are so bitter about deleting information about a citizen filing a petition in a local court which was dismissed, please take time to read the relevant policy on WP:BLPCRIME.
  3. I shortened the "Mediagate" part to two sentences as the story is covered extensively in a separate article, linked appropriately and well-sourced (not to personal blogs as in your WP:POV version) – do you have any specific problem with that?
  4. The appropriate place for any discussion on this article is yours, mine, or this article's talk page; your message to Materialscientist amounts to WP:CANVASSING and is not allowed on Wikipedia.

I have removed some sections of this article which can be considered as opinion however that was not my opinion. The Opinion published was from a news article. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Sohailkhanafridi2014 (talkcontribs) 18:47, 26 May 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Lucman or Luqman? Mubashir or Mubasher?[edit]

Several combinations are out there:

  • Mubashir Luqman (I'd call it the "classical spelling")
  • Mubashir Lucman ("Anglicised spelling")
  • Mubasher Luqman ("Arabic spelling")
  • Mubasher Lucman ("mixed spelling").

Google search results in a tie between all the four - differences are negligible due to lack of precision of Google algorithm, albeit the "mixed spelling" seems slightly less popular.

The guy uses a Twitter account @mubasherlucman and gives his name there as Mubasher Lucman, so I would be tempted to use this as his official spelling. However, his Facebook page has it "Mubashir Luqman". Various media outlets use varied spelling depending on a particular editor rather than official version.

The article has been moved back and forth between different spellings with hardly any meaningful discussion.

Would anyone feel like coming up with "the correct" spelling? Maybe emailing the guy for advice, or getting hold of the spelling used in his passport? Any ideas? kashmiri TALK 15:16, 18 November 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Samee, do I read the same internet as you? I see "Mubashir" nowhere on the Twitter account you linked. Did you read my post? Thanks not to refactor section title if not needed kashmiri TALK 08:23, 19 November 2014 (UTC)[reply]

His shows are filled with anti-india content as he declared a jihad against Indian culture which he thinks not good for pakistani culture. 59.90.150.22 (talk) 10:46, 12 March 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Not done: it's not clear what changes you want to be made. Please mention the specific changes in a "change X to Y" format. Fauzan✆ talk✉ mail 11:21, 12 March 2015 (UTC)[reply]
