Article title[edit]

My move of this article to the somewhat easier to deal with title Night of the Day of the Dawn of the Son ... Part 2: In Shocking 2-D, without in any way altering the full and complete bolded title in the lede of the article itself, was reverted by another editor, so I have dropped a note on the WikiProject: Film talk page asking for comments.

The editors' contention that We do not move stuff just because you find the title inconvenient. Use redirects if you will, but the article should have the correct title. is actually not correct -- consider that our article for the film Dr. Stangelove, Or: How I Learned to Stop Worrying and Love the Bomb can be found at Dr. Strangelove.

In any case, now that my bold move has been reverted, perhaps some discussion might be warranted. Beyond My Ken (talk) 04:18, 21 December 2010 (UTC)[reply]

WP:COMMONNAME is the reason for Dr. Strangelove's article name. SellymeTalk 04:33, 12 May 2011 (UTC)[reply]
The thing is that we don't know what the common name is. We would have to make up some contraption like "Night of the Day of the Dawn of the Son ... Part 2: In Shocking 2-D", but honestly no one would refer to it as that. Brightgalrs (/braɪtˈɡæl.ərˌɛs/)[1] 14:22, 27 March 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Lost[edit]

Exlink[edit]

Apparently Night of the Day of the Dawn of the Son of the Bride of the Return of the Revenge of the Terror of the Attack of the Evil, Mutant, Alien, Flesh Eating, Hellbound, Zombified Living Dead video on YouTube is private. Should that be marked as "dead link" or what? GeraldWL 07:54, 11 September 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Is the 152-word version of the title real???[edit]

In the section "Part 2", the 152-word string "Night of the Day of the Dawn of the Son of the Bride of the Return of the Revenge of the Terror of the Attack of the Evil, Mutant, Night of the Day of the Dawn of the Son of the Bride of the Return of the Revenge of the Terror of the Attack of the Evil, Mutant, Alien, Flesh Eating, Hellbound, Zombified Living Dead Part 2 Alien, Flesh Eating, Hellbound, Night Night of the Day of the Dawn of the Son of the Bride of the Return of the Revenge of the Terror of the Attack of the Evil, Mutant, Alien, Flesh Eating, Hellbound, Zombified Living Dead Part 2 of the Day of the Dawn of the Son of the Bride of the Return of the Revenge of the Terror of the Attack of the Evil, Mutant, Alien, Flesh Eating, Hellbound, Zombified Living Dead Part 2 Zombified Living Dead Part 2 " is listed as the full title of Part 2. However, later in the same section, the movie is described as having a the longest English title of any movie at 41 words, quoted as the title at the top of the article plus "part 2 in shocking 2d"

Where does this longer alleged title (apparently a random recombination of words and phrases from the 41-word title, as if generated by an AI) come from? The nearest citation to it is Wetmore 2011, but I clicked the google books link and it seems like that source only mentions the 41-word title in its short section on this movie. Still I can't fully discount the possibility of it being real because I don't know anything about these movies; what do you guys think on whether this bit should be CN'd/changed to the 41-word title? Voidify (talk) 06:21, 6 November 2021 (UTC)[reply]

This just seems like a mess of all the words in the title. Sounds like you made it up, or someone else made it up. Otherwise, it's probably not real. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 2600:1702:170:2D30:503A:724E:2897:F4FA (talk) 15:28, 7 March 2023 (UTC)[reply]
