Status sentence

There has been long discussion at WikiProject Israel Palestine Collaboration/Current Article Issues about adding the illegality issue in all settlement article:[1] There is now consensus to have the sentence: "The international community considers Israeli settlements in (the Golan Heights/the West Bank/East Jerusalem) illegal under international law, but the Israeli government disputes this." in all relevant articles, but its not clear yet exactly where in the article, so therefor I'm suggesting that the agreed upon sentence be placed after the Golan Regional Council sentence. --Supreme Deliciousness (talk) 01:27, 27 November 2010 (UTC)[reply]

The following source lists Nimrod as a temporary army settlement that was abandoned due to it being primarily owned by Druze residents and that no civilian settlement was established, but that a number of families still live there despite not being recognized by the Israelis as anything at all. Anybody have anything else?

Well, it does exist and is recognozed by the regional council - [2][3][4]. It became a civilian settlment in 1999, and has more B&Bs than residents.Icewhiz (talk) 18:30, 13 November 2018 (UTC)[reply]

The 2013 book of Kipnis says (p190) "the state institutions do not recognise it as a settlement", and the footnote to that says "Even though it is not included in the listings of the Central Bureau of Statistics, www.cbs.gov.il, the settlement continues to be counted among Golan settlements by the publications of the Golan Regional Council, www.golan.org.".
