Location[edit]

The town is actually supposed to be in Pennsylvania. I remember thinking, "if they're going from NYC to AC, how would they end up in PA?" Nonetheless, they clearly enter PA. At the end after the big explosion, the newscaster says that the blast could be heard in several neighboring states and lists New Jersey among them. I'm going to change the article. 98.221.133.96 (talk) 11:00, 3 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Other Version[edit]

The version I saw shows Chase completely blowing off the stop sign, not stopping past it like the article suggests. Is there more than one version?

Fair use rationale for Image:Nothing but trouble.jpg[edit]

Image:Nothing but trouble.jpg is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to ensure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If there is other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images lacking such an explanation can be deleted one week after being tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.

Sourcing information[edit]

Where do the people who contribute to IMDB get their information, and how do we know this? It does not seem a very transparent site, especially not as our only source of information for an article.

There are DVD releases for this movie that may be closer to primary sources and therefore better. Schissel | Sound the Note! 16:50, 15 February 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Viewing a DVD for information is Original Research, and is not permitted. The Wiki's goal is verifiable accuracy, meaning that reliable sources should be used, and should be cited for ease of verification. Bustter (talk) 21:33, 28 February 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Information from IMDB Triva pages should be marked as such. As a source it's highly dubious. ParasiteNetwork (talk) 09:21, 6 November 2016 (UTC)[reply]
IMDb is not a reliable source for much of anything. Trivia from IMDb should be removed. - SummerPhDv2.0 17:09, 6 November 2016 (UTC)[reply]

"hillbillys" vs. "hillbillies"[edit]

An IP editor has twice changed "hillbillys" to "hillbillies", the spelling we repeatedly use at Hillbilly.

Ifnord has reverted the change twice without explanation. What's up? - SummerPhDv2.0 02:04, 5 November 2019 (UTC)[reply]

The IP continues to make the change without meaningful discussion. Though they are not at 3RR and have made some attempts at discussion on their talk page (and frustrated edit summaries), I've given them an EW warning with a note to discuss the issue here.
New to the dispute is an unexplained revert by Dirkbb.
Currently, our article, Hillbilly, uses the "ies" plural. Also from that article, we have the BBC and Oxford University Press both using "hillbillies". Though I haven't really looked very long or hard, I see meaningful support for "ies" that I cannot match for "ys". - SummerPhDv2.0 01:38, 6 November 2019 (UTC)[reply]
