Pepsiman's creator[edit]
There was a false rumor going around about Travis Charest creating Pepsiman that made it into this article. He denied this attribution on Twitter: https://twitter.com/TravisCharest/status/849532167399116802

Gamers' Republic Review:[edit]

Gamefan and Gamers' Republic were pretty good at reviewing import games. The 1999 Gamers' Republic Holiday Guide includes a top 10 import games of the year, and includes Pepsiman. They included Adventure of Little Ralph, and it reprinted their review word for word, but it lacked the review score. That means there should be review for the other games as well, somewhere in their 1999 issues. But so far I can't find it. If we can't find it, we can just use the holiday guide, since it is the same review. Gamefan reviewed it twice in "Gamefan Volume 7 Issue 11 November 1999". They gave a full page review, giving it a 90/100, and then four reviewers gave it scores in their mini-review section.
In addition to those, Spanish magazine "Superjuegos" has a full page preview in issue 87. Retro Gamer magazine also listed the game as #20 on their "Top 20 PlayStation games You've never played" in issue 137. Harizotoh9 (talk) 19:08, 8 December 2018 (UTC)
- Okay, found the GR review from 1999. Too tired to summarize, so someone else can do it. I suggest trimming some of the IGN and Gamespot from that section, since those are opinions expressed in previews not proper reviews. Then expand the GR, GF, and RG reception. - 1. No WP:RS for this review to be added. No, you can't cite the video itself. AVGN is not a RS. He's more of an entertainer.
- 2. This is WP:FANCRUFT for e-celebs. We don't need to cover all their videos.
- 3. This is WP:RECENTISM as this is just a video that came out in the last week. Right now there's more words spent on AVGN's video than even proper magazines reviews for the game like GR. In the history of this game, this one video is a blip on the radar, and likely won't be a big deal.
