Book reference[edit]

The incorporation of Peresvet as a town is described in Rockets and People, Vol. II: Creating a Rocket Industry by Soviet rocket scientist Boris Chertok, published by NASA, June 2006. See Chapter 8, p. 245. Its initial creation as Novostroyka and its early history are discussed immediately following, and at several other points in the book.

The book is available online from NASA's history site at history.nasa.gov/SP-4110/vol2.pdf. (NASA's Web sites are currently closed due to the government shutdown). — Preceding unsigned comment added by 173.81.160.99 (talk) 21:06, 7 October 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Thank you kindly. And apart from the government shutdown, is there any particular reason why you didn't want to add this reference yourself? Cheers,—Ëzhiki (Igels Hérissonovich Ïzhakoff-Amursky) • (yo?); October 8, 2013; 13:14 (UTC)
Glad to help. No special reason for not adding it on the page. I just wanted to add the information I had on hand without getting into technical minutiae like reference formats and markup languages on the one hand, and policy minutiae like original research or not and so forth on the other - that's too much like my day job. I'm not too worried about its verifiability and origin in a reliable, published source, though :-). 173.81.160.99 (talk) 04:42, 12 October 2013 (UTC)[reply]
I'll be happy to add this ref once the NASA website is back online. Thanks again!—Ëzhiki (Igels Hérissonovich Ïzhakoff-Amursky) • (yo?); October 14, 2013; 13:07 (UTC)
