slogans

the australian slogan was not '9-4-8-1-1-1-1-1 Pizza hut Delivery (Australia)' at least where I lived. It was always "one-three-double-one-double-double-six - Pizza Hut Delivery!" note that the number I knew 131166 is a national toll free number, the other number(94811111) would have only worked in whatever capital city it came from.

International operation

states that in the pacific soy oil is used instead of vegetable oil. Isn't soy oil a vegetable oil? 132.68.244.9 22:46, 9 March 2007 (UTC)

This page has many grammatical errors and lowercase words which should be capitalized. These errors need to be fixed. TenPoundHammer 03:04, 26 March 2007 (UTC)

Italy

Eventhough we are the country of pizza, this chain, as much as Sbarro, have never even attempt to come and open a branch here in Italy. I wonder why... --82.89.191.143 12:36, 17 May 2007 (UTC)

International Pizza Taste Test?

The page currently says, "Pizza Hut won the international pizza taste test, beating Domino's Pizza and Papa John's Pizza" under the Trivia section, a point added by User:71.214.15.152 earlier this week. Since this claim is uncited -- it doesn't refer to a specific event, I can't find anything like it on Google or Pizza Hut's website, and it's not even capitalized -- and since it sounds like a marketing claim, I'm deleting it. If there was such a taste test, and if it can be specifically identified and (hopefully) cited, then I'm all for it being on the page.

Food

Does anyone remember the Pizzazz from the 80's? It was like a pie stuffed with pizza ingredients.

Old Logo Usage

I know the current logo was first used around 2000, but does anyone know when the previous logo was introduced. WAVY 10 16:45, 11 July 2007 (UTC)

This was in a previous version, but it was 1969. I don't know why it was removed. Mike H. I did "That's hot" first! 05:14, 14 September 2007 (UTC)

New Zealand Pizza Hut

The page currently under international Pizza Huts says, New Zealand is the only country in the world where Pizza Hut serves chips (french fries in the US).

I've ordered chips or french fries or whatever you want to call it from quite a few pizza huts in the UK. Could someone else confirm that I am correct?Cach9801 22:23, 15 July 2007 (UTC)cach9801 15 July 2007 11:22pm

Controversies Among Italians

Shouldn't something be added about the fact that most Italians see Pizza Hut as a disgrace to Italian food? —Preceding unsigned comment added by Goodfellajohnny (talkcontribs) 11:38, 3 September 2007 (UTC)

I'm Italian (real Italian, the kind with good grammar and an innate knowledge of most Latin based words in English) and Pizza Hut should never make it to Italy. Not because Italians would reject it, but because the newer generations would get use to it (and like me, after getting sick the first couple of times, manage to actually like the stuff). Then again, I don't think that burger joints have made a big impact there either, but if they want to sell it, it needs to be marketed as some sort of 'torta piccante al pomodoro e formaggio americana' or something. 04:47, 24 February 2008 (UTC) Misses real pizza —Preceding unsigned comment added by 209.78.18.84 (talk)

Book It!

"Book It!" didn't start in 1988. I participated in it for two or three years, and I finished elementary school in 1987. -- AvatarMN 05:17, 18 September 2007 (UTC)

Dubious

I can find no reference to Mark Bondhus with regards to the statement in question. Anyone want to step up and find the origin of this snippet so as to pigeonhole the person who added it and demand a ref? Jouster  (whisper) 03:13, 28 November 2007 (UTC)

Donations/Charity

"Pizza Hut is not all about money. They give money to charitable organizations and they give food to people that need it. On October 14-20, 2007, Pizza Hut participated in the world's largest hunger relief effort. They ask there customers to give a dollar when they order and they also give m a lot of money too."

I don't mean to be rude, but this section hasn't been written very well at all.

"Pizza Hut is not all about money." This phrase could just as easily be removed, since it doesn't seem to reference anything previously-stated, and is therefore unnecessary.

" They give money to charitable organizations and they give food to people that need it." Writing "they give" twice seems redundant and could be shortened to "Pizza Hut gives money to charitable organizations, helping those in need."

"On October 14-20, 2007, Pizza Hut participated in the world's largest hunger relief effort." Did they? Needs citation.

"They ask there customers to give a dollar when they order and they also give m a lot of money too." There, Their, They're. In this case, "their" would be the appropriate choice. Also, could "m" mean "them?" That should be fixed. Frankly, I'd rather see this whole sentence wiped, since it doesn't seem to add any new information to the topic at hand.
