Doc Martin?
[edit]Is Doc Martin filmed in this town?
It's very beautiful! —Preceding unsigned comment added by Bevy414 (talk • contribs) 06:33, 9 October 2009 (UTC)
270 metres south of St Uny's Church
[edit]This is odd as the only St Uny's churches as far as I know are at Redruth (south of the town) and Lelant. The nearest churches to Porthtowan are Mount Hawke (St John Baptist) and Treleigh (St Stephen).--Felix Folio Secundus (talk) 12:12, 29 September 2012 (UTC)
- Thanks! I took out the references to St Uny - and I'm checking to see if the eight lodes are mentioned anywhere else. If not, it might be best to take the rest of the information out of the article.--CaroleHenson (talk) 13:31, 29 September 2012 (UTC)
- About Wheal Towan "Barton, D. B. (1965) A Guide to the Mines of West Cornwall; 2nd ed. Truro: D. Bradford Barton; p. 42" says «No surface buildings survive but the extensive burrows can still be seen extending towards the Miners' Arms at Towan Cross.»--Felix Folio Secundus (talk) 14:04, 29 September 2012 (UTC)
- Great! Thanks!--CaroleHenson (talk) 14:09, 29 September 2012 (UTC)
- I'll leave these St Agnes district articles alone for today.--Felix Folio Secundus (talk) 14:39, 29 September 2012 (UTC)
- Ok, well thanks for your input! I should just be in Porthtowan and I'll put up an in-use tag.--CaroleHenson (talk) 14:45, 29 September 2012 (UTC)
