Untitled[edit]

Does this article really fulfill encyclopedic criteria, how is this person noteworthy enough. All that information suits to his father's article, no need of separate one. Arrigo 18:16, 24 July 2005 (UTC)[reply]

He is noteworthy because he is a Prince of Luxembourg.

Succession rights[edit]

Why does Prince Louis give up succession rights upon marriage to Tessy and what does this mean for the Luxembourgish royal family? - GilliamJF 06:56, 24 September 2006 (UTC)[reply]

It was Louis' personal choice to give up his rights, and he probably gave them up because of the circumstances of his marriage. However, it probably doesn't mean much for the family. Louis has two older brothers, as well as a younger brother and several male cousins, so there is no real threat to the dynasty. His son, Gabriel, has no rights, and will not have rights even after Louis and Tessy marry. Morhange 07:01, 24 September 2006 (UTC)[reply]
Indeed, Gabriel would not have been in line to the throne, as he was born before his parents married. He would be considered illegitimate for succession purposes, even though his parents later married. Indisciplined 13:46, 27 November 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Why was Prince Louis's wife and child (born in wedlock) denied the rank of prince/ss with personal attribute of royal highness. Is it because he married commoner.... ? other member of the family have married commoner and they were raised to rank of princess ? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 172.203.116.154 (talk) 23:21, 10 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Photograph[edit]

The photo of Prince Louis will be/is 7 years old of September 29, 2013, which seems rather old to me. Does anyone have an acceptable, newer photo of him that can be used legally? I checked the Commons photo lists, but there are no other photos of him available there. Nor is there a recent one for Princess Tessy. Metheglyn (talk) 06:01, 25 September 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Try the new one I've put on. --79.64.100.136 (talk) 21:46, 6 March 2015 (UTC)[reply]
