Untitled[edit]

I think this page belongs in wikipedia. Today, the Inaugural committee officially apologies to people stuck in "The Purple Tunnel of Doom" and I went directly to wikipedia to find an explanation of the term. This page belongs here. 216.239.45.4 (talk) 23:23, 21 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]

If we can have a whole section in the 2009 Inauguration article devoted to Michelle's dress, then we sure as hell should have a section on the shared experience of over 10,000 event goers - expecially an experience that threatened their safety. 71.191.106.110 (talk) 06:36, 22 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]

This definitely needs to be deleted or merged into the Barack Obama Inauguration 2009 article. Tiefoon (talk) 07:30, 25 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]

How can you say it should be deleted when it effected over 15,000 people, there are almost 20 citations verifying that it occured, and high-ranking public officials have gone on record to apologize for it? What planet are you from? I have no objection to seeing it merged with the 2009 Inauguration article. 68.48.39.151 (talk) 18:58, 29 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Per Wiki standards, I said that I believe it should be deleted OR merged. Tiefoon (talk) 23:17, 1 February 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Proposed merger of this article, renewed in June 2010[edit]

As per the note at the top of the article page, I would like to suggest that people voice support or objections over at Talk:Inauguration_of_Barack_Obama#Merger_Proposal. The proposal is to incorporate well-sourced material from this article into a more widely-read article, not to delete this article or to remove its information from Wikipedia, as some earlier commenters seemed to suggest. betsythedevine (talk) 19:12, 18 June 2010 (UTC)[reply]

i have unmerged, it passes GNG, please do not merge without a consensus. Slowking4Farmbrough's revenge †@1₭ 18:30, 14 April 2013 (UTC)[reply]

What is a purple ticket?[edit]

Unfortunately, the article never explains what a purple ticket ist. What rights do purple-ticket-holders have? What differentiates purple tickets from the rest? 78.54.133.39 (talk) 17:18, 19 June 2014 (UTC)[reply]

This is dumb.[edit]

This article needs to be written as it it happened 6 years ago instead of in the present tense. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 146.187.0.46 (talk) 22:19, 3 December 2015 (UTC)[reply]
