Trucial sheikhdom[edit]

The history section of the article begins with an opening statement:

Both Qatar and the UAE once shared a common history under trucial sheikhdom dominated and ruled as British protectorates under the British Empire, and very close in Gulf Arab history.

Per the article on trucial states, Qatar was not a member of the group. The sentence is also confusing, missing punctuation, and running on. I suggest either a thorough revision, better sourcing and consistency with the referenced article, or deletion. Dovid (talk) 18:27, 1 September 2020 (UTC)[reply]
