Does anyone think that The Queen's Club should have a different page to the Queen's Club Championships?

AEGON Championships → Queen's Club Championships — General Wikipedia policy appears to be to go by the longstanding and traditional name of a tournament or event for internal consistency, rather than to go by the name of temporary sponsors. For example, see the following: Asian Five Nations (rather than HSBC Asian Five Nations), Ellis Park Stadium (rather than Coca-Cola Park), Free State Stadium (rather than Vodacom Park) and 2010 World Snooker Championship (rather than 2010 Betfred.com World Snooker Championship).   • Support all per WP:COMMONNAME, strong support for the main article. I believe that Queen's Club Championships is the more commonly used day-to-day name. As stated in the nomination it is also normal for us not to use the sponsorship name unless it's almost only known by that name. Additionally for the main article the current location makes little sense as the article covers the whole history of the championship and for the vast majority of that time it was not known by AEGON or indeed any single sponsorship name. We've recently discussed about the naming of tournaments here. We've came into conclusion that the articles of certain year's tournament should use the official sponsored name, whereas when referring to the tournament in general, the generic name (i.e. the Queen's Club Championships) should be used. So I think we should make title changes like this:

  • 2010 Queen's Club Championships -> 2010 AEGON Championships
  • 2006 Queen's Club Championships -> 2006 Stella Artois Championships

Queen's Club Championships 1957[edit]

The page currently shows Ashley Cooper beating someone called Gerry Lafferty in the 1957 final. This is not a name familiar to me, and someone who appears never to have played at Wimbledon.

I suspect the real runner-up was Neale Fraser?
