List of Children[edit]

I've substantially changed the list of his children, based on the info in the new edition of Burke's Peerage. In particular, I don't think he had any children by Philippa Mortimer. Loren Rosen 06:13, 5 May 2004 (UTC)

According to Thomas Holland, 2nd Earl of Kent, Alice FitzAlan married him. Charles Matthews (talk) 16:26, 19 February 2008 (UTC)
[1] agrees. "Charleton" is presumably Cherleton? Charles Matthews (talk) 16:31, 19 February 2008 (UTC)
Ah, light dawns. It doesn't help that the numbering of the Earls isn't standard. Alice FitzAlan daughter of Richard FitzAlan, 10th Earl of Arundel married Thomas Holland. Alice FitzAlan daughter of Richard FitzAlan, 11th Earl of Arundel married John Cherleton, 4th Lord Cherleton, according to[2]. So I'll amplify what's here. Earl of Arundel[edit]

If he was the 11th Earl of Arundel was he also the 4th as it says in the text? This needs an explanation or a correction.
