"By late 2006, the RLD had mostly disbanded due to the Putin government's escalating harassment and intimidation of dissident groups and parties. Former RLD leaders are fearful of assassination and arrest and intend to wait until political conditions in Russia will allow new political ideas."

I have read through all of the cited sources and none of them support this statement, therefore I am removing it.
