2007[edit]

nzgabriel,

We noticed you had created a page for our company. We assume you saw our recent high profile newspaper and online articles. We wanted to thank you for your efforts in writing the page but unfortunately due to errors in some of the source materials the information in the wiki page is not correct.

SLI Systems specializes in site search with specific products for ecommerce sites. We don't provide any "vertical" search technology.

SLI is a US company that was started in 2001 by a group of both US and New Zealand founders. We have more than five stockholders. SLI Systems has more staff than is listed on the wiki page. As a private company we don't disclose exact numbers but it is more than 25 and is growing every month.

Our headquarters are in Silicon Valley (Cupertino, CA), with a smaller office in San Francisco, CA. Our European head office is based in London, England and our Asia/Pacific office in Christchurch, New Zealand.

The companies mentioned as clients are not correct, a better small sample would be; NBC, Tupperware, Hot Topic, Dick Smith Electronics and Qantas. There is a larger list on our web site http://www.sli-systems.com/customers.shtml which we add to from time to time.

I have edited it, I hope it is now factually correct. Nzgabriel 22:50, 1 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Improved[edit]

Have done a bit of an update over the last week to fix dead links and otherwise improve the article. I see no reason why it should be deleted. Snori (talk) 01:39, 27 July 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Clients listed - of any value?[edit]

I note that Georgegltc has added a number of clients to the SLI Systems page. I'm not sure this adds much value to the page, certainly the listing of 20 or so clients to any company's article would be tiresome. Int reads more like advertising. Whats more, there is no citation for each of the clients listed either - if we do want all the clients listed, can someone provide citations for them please? PragmaticOutcome (talk) 06:57, 21 January 2016 (UTC)[reply]

I've reflected on the citation that Georgegltc has made, but I simply don't believe a list of clients, all based in the UK, none of whom appear to be global names, is a valuable addition to the article. I will re-write to make the point more succinct rather than a list of UK based names taken from on the company's own website. PragmaticOutcome (talk) 19:55, 21 January 2016 (UTC)[reply]
