Council info[edit]

Can any info be found about the Suwanee River, Gulf Coast, and Gulf Stream councils? I will work and see what I can find. Splamo 22:16, 20 March 2006 (UTC)[reply]

As a member of the Gulf Stream Council, I can certainly attempt to help out... I'm relatively new to the Scouting WikiProject, so please tell me what info should be put down here, thanks. Watermellonman 19:54, 10 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]

removed text[edit]

I have removed ", along with the popular Winn-Dixie Scout Reservation," it does not belong in the section it was in, it needs to be with its proper council. Chris 03:29, 2 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Merge of council articles[edit]

I propose to merge the following six articles on local councils into Scouting in Florida. All six have the same content:

  • a list of districts
  • a list of campsites (some including extensive lists of campsite features; this can be seen as "blatant advertising" --> WP:CSD G11)
  • a short description of the Order of Arrow lodge.

There are some issues with these six articles:

  • They are very generic and contain no individual information.
  • Most of them are lists, in some cases with extensive web-linking.
  • Reliable third-party sources are missing.
  • Advertising tone.
  • Five of the six articles nominated were recreated after a previous merge into Scouting in Florida.
