Polish names[edit]

In regard to the use of Polish name in the lede see Wikipedia:NAME#Treatment_of_alternative_names. At one point a consensus was reached that if an article has a dedicated "Name" section then these names go in there. If it doesn't they go in the first sentence per Wikipedia:NAME#Treatment_of_alternative_names. Same applies to various other articles. Volunteer Marek (talk) 11:11, 19 January 2014 (UTC)[reply]

What so significant about this particular village in Lithuania for the Culture of Poland? Or does it have some significant Polish minority? How and why it is more important than, e.g. Russian, German, Swedish, Belarusian or Yiddish or Latvian variations of the original name?
