Reversions & adaptations[edit]

I've reverted some work by a (Dab-wise-) ill-informed colleague, including removal of details incapable of enhancing the page's sole legitimate function, which is to aid readers sincerely interested in an article that could (but for the other listed articles) have reasonably borne the title "Siege of Syracuse".
Thank you, however, to that editor, who added some links that are unacceptable but which suggested some additional wording that may aid some readers in recognizing -- in light of contextual details a word or two in length -- which of the many sieges it is that they have seen referred to as a "siege of Syracuse", with relevant contextual hints not all of which we can hope to otherwise anticipate.br>
