RfC of the merge of Social Media Targeting and Social network advertising[edit]

I've added the difference between social media targeting and social media advertising. They are not synonymous, one is a component of the other (i.e. social media targeting is a way to advertise on social media sites)- unsigned. Section on Effectiveness[edit]

Can the below information be part of this article, It was recently removed. Article must have all aspects of the programs not only the good things.

Effectiveness

Real effectiveness of these programs can not be predicted because of increasing number of fake accounts. Followers program provided by leading platforms provide huge number of following in a rapid manner but with minimal or no engagement. ^[1] Tests show these unsolicited followers are spread over some countries and they follow every page they come across and get paid for this. ^[2]

Instagram[edit]

I added a brief excerpt under applications about Instagram and the networking and advertising that goes into its daily functions. There was already Facebook under applications but as social media keeps growing and expanding Instagram is popular among the younger generations so I thought it would be appropriate to be added.
