The name of the topic[edit]

The name of the article must be changed. Enlargement ends by the end of the 16th century. But the article entails the reign of Selim III who lived at the end of 18th century. A more appropriate name may be Socioeconomics up to Modernization efforts or up to the end of 18th century. Nedim Ardoğa (talk) 19:27, 15 May 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Flawed Article[edit]

This entire article is problematic. It's incomplete, cites no sources, and passes casually from inaccurate statement to inaccurate statement. As it currently stands it should have no place on Wikipedia - but if it's not to be deleted it at least has to be entirely rewritten from the ground up.
