British[edit]

Strange that there's not mention anywhere in the article that The Firm was a British rock band. If anything, it implies the band was American... Tanzeelat 16:16, 7 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Fair use rationale for Image:TheFirm.JPG[edit]

Image:TheFirm.JPG is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If there is other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images uploaded after 4 May, 2006, and lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.

Live Soundboard Recordings[edit]

Someone with the means please research and add.

1. At least 2 unofficial audio soundboard concerts are available.

   a) "Jimmy Page/Jimmy Pages Firm"
i 15 songs from both Firm albums and Page's/Rogers' solo careers?
ii No date ascribed; purports to be recorded in Los Angeles 1985
iii The Firm performed in Los Angeles on the 14th of March 1985

   b) "Jimmy Page's Firm/Royal Darkness
i 14 songs from both Firm albums and Page's/Rogers' solo careers?
ii Back cover attributes the city and date as Montreal 1985. The Firm
never played in Montreal. This show has been attributed to Cleveland,
          Ohio May 11, 1986.

To me it would seem unlikely that songs from the Mean Business album were being performed before the demonstration tracks were even recorded.

What are the sources of these recording? Stolen? FM radio broadcasts? If so when was the original broadcasts dates and radio networks?

Article title[edit]

There's a move discussion going at Talk:The Firm (group)#Requested move that may affect the title of this article. Propaniac (talk) 20:32, 26 August 2010 (UTC)[reply]

UK 1984 gigs[edit]

There were 3 UK gigs in 1984 - one at Middlesbrough on December 7th and two at Hammersmith Odeon December 7th and 8th.

"Films, DVDs" section--do these exist?[edit]

This section has remained completely untouched since this article's creation in 2005, but I can't find conclusive evidence that the two releases mentioned (The Firm Live at Hammersmith 1984 and Five from the Firm) were actually publicly available. Amazon doesn't list them as far as I know. There aren't any copies on eBay at this time. No cover art for Five for the Firm exists on Google Images, but there are several (bootleg) CD and DVD cover art images for the Hammersmith one. I can't confirm that either of these titles were released on VHS, let alone a DVD as the section title suggests. My guess is these might have just been obscure bootlegs. Because I'm not an expert on the subject, I'm leaving this section in tact for now, but I really question why this supergroup's supposed home video releases are so hard to find online.
