Should Trey Young or Tre Young be created as plausible typos? AngusWOOF (barksniff) 20:38, 6 February 2019 (UTC)[reply]

If you think they are helpful, go ahead. I don't thing they would break anything.--Gorpik (talk) 09:40, 7 February 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Please change "He did not play basketball in his freshman year" to "Young enjoyed one of the best freshman seasons ever seen at Norman North and started every game."

"Last year Trae Young enjoyed one of the best freshman seasons seen at Norman North. The sharpshooting son of former Texas Tech player Rayford Young started every game of his first season as a Timberwolf and impressed a number of college coaches, including those at Oklahoma and Oklahoma State, along the way.

Now Young will get an opportunity to display his talents in the Nike Elite 100 camp this weekend, playing alongside several dozen of his peers from across the country in the annual game.

Young was a key part of North’s success in coach Bryan Merritt’s first year at the helm. The Timberwolves finished the season 19-8."

References

Partly done: Removed the line that said he didn't play in freshmen year, along with your two article from norman transcript, I found article from The Atlantic [1] & Sports Illustrated [2] that mention his freshman year, practices and starting. I just removed the mention of his freshmen year or lack of for now.
I'm not sure about his entire high school career. The confusion seems to come from several sources saying he had a three year high school career. The clutch article that says his averages from his sophomore year, but links [[3]], which doesn't mention his freshmen year. Other sources do the same only giving stats from sophomore year and on, but SI says he started varsity his freshman year. Going to keep looking for freshman stats/games played. Why’d you edit[edit]

Dude just completely redid my edit just to basically say the same thing. King just wanted the credit I guess Dlooneyslit (talk) 04:18, 13 December 2022 (UTC)[reply]

That edit was marked as ce, meaning copy edit. The editor correctly fixed a few grammar mistakes. In addition to content, we care about grammar and style in Wikipedia. Gorpik (talk) 18:05, 14 December 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Leader in Points and Assists[edit]

Young is no longer "the only player to ever lead the NCAA in both points and assists in a single season". Caitlin Clark also led this year with 31.6/8.9: https://www.espn.com/womens-college-basketball/stats 174.69.228.190 (talk) 22:33, 3 April 2024 (UTC)[reply]
