Removed image[edit]

Dealing with images on Wikipedia can be pretty complex. I don't fully understand the policies even after several years here. That said, the basic rule of WP:COPYRIGHT is a good place to start: if the thing was copyrighted as you say then there is a presumption that the image cannot be used for legal reasons. One possible exception would be to upload it to English Wikipedia (not some other language version, and not Commons) if it can be shown to satisfy our non-free content criteria. It is when the NFCC stuff is used that things get messy, in my opinion, but maybe the image was ok under those terms. I can't say any more than this because I cannot see the deleted image - if you got it from a website then maybe post a link on my own talk page and I'll see if I can work it out for you. - Sitush (talk) 12:28, 14 March 2014 (UTC)[reply]
