The "appeal" seems to have happened before the trial[edit]

From what I read in the article, the appeal was against the indictment, not against the conviction. The heading on the cited source regarding the appeal against the indictment is "Ruling on Motion to Dismiss" and is dated 6 December 2001. The cited source for the only statement in the article regarding Ivanov's conviction and sentencing (in the lead section) is dated 25 July 2003, more than a year and a half later. This suggests that the motion to dismiss was denied before the trial began, and that the main body of the article gives no information on the outcome of the trial. Neither the article nor the cited sources state for which of the eight charges Ivanov was convicted. Sincerely, SamBlob (talk) 02:58, 5 March 2012 (UTC)[reply]
