William C. McKay (scout)[edit]

William Cameron McKay (scout) in Modoc War (1834-1899) Captain, U.S. Army Warm Springs Scouts. I hope to soon create an article on this man, awaiting some info from Warm Springs Res. See page revision history. I made this entry and linked to Modoc War article where W.C. McKay is mentioned. William Cameron McKay (1824-1865) Captain, U.S. Army Warm Springs Scouts. CPT. William C. McKay, U.S. Army Wasco Scouts was the half brother of CPT. "Daring" Donald McKay, U.S. Army Wasco Scouts. Both Captains McKay served during the Modoc War All My Relations Tjlynnjr (talk) 21:16, 3 September 2015 (UTC) .[reply]

William Cameron McKay was also a physician, surgeon, scout, guide, trader, Hudson's Bay Company etc. His father was Thomas McKay (fur trader), his grandfather was Alexander MacKay (fur trader) and his great-grandfather was Donald McKay.
